Libro ni Loren is a non-stock non-stock, non-profit Foundation with the following objectives:
BOOK GIVING PROGRAM:
In line with the Foundation's objective of improving the literacy level in the country's poorest provinces, we have launched Libro ni Loren Book-Giving Program in August 1999. The program provides general reference books, textbooks, dictionaries and reading materials to local government units and public schools.
During a soft launch of the Foundation's scholarship program in August 1999, 22 child laborers received pledges of educational support from kindhearted donors. These children were among the first batch of scholars of the Libro ni Loren Foundation Inc., in cooperation with the Philippine Rural Reconstruction Movement.
With the success of this "Balik Eskwela" program, the Libro ni Loren Foundation hopes to save many more children from exploitative work, bring them back to schools where they belong, and give them chance for a brighter future.
Libro ni Loren scholarships has also been extended to financially in need students in Butalao, Batangas, Aetas in Zambales, and even to disadvantaged children in Mindanao.
From Elementary and High School scholarships Libro ni Loren is now sending students to vocational, computer schools and even to four-year college courses. To date, LLFI has helped more than 200 scholars.
